Decorating With Statues and Flowers Wrong the Bag

Instructions

1

Choose a special place in the front hall or on an antique dresser for a vase of flowers and a figurine.

2

Decide whether you prefer fresh flowers or silk. Silk flowers last indefinitely and can save money while sprucing up your home.

 3

Choose a figurine that complements the room decor, its color or its mood. For example, if your home is decorated in a minimalist style, add a modern statue for accent. If you love antiques, use a figurine of a Grecian goddess or a cherub. Use a statue of a Buddha in rooms with an Asian flair.

4

Find flowers that accent the spaces. For example, use large, opulent plants and flowers such as peonies, gladiolas and sunflowers in grand entries. Dainty flowers, such as daffodils and baby's breath, are beautiful on the bedside table.

5

Decorate with oversize statues and fountains in open courtyards. For example, many houses in the southwest U.S. are built in the Spanish architectural style and have interior courtyards that beg for a beautiful fountain.

6

Surround fountains in courtyards with flowering plants. Change them throughout the year to maintain color and foliage as the seasons change.

7

Use green plants or flowering plants in bathrooms, where humidity from bathing keeps them fresh and blooming throughout the year.

8

Place a bouquet of fresh-cut flowers in a vase on the bathroom counter to hide the toilet from view as you enter the room.

9

Refinish a statue or figurine with spray paint to change its look and feel. Refinishing a statue to complement your decorating breaths new life into an old cement piece.
